Taylor Symone’ Harris was born on February 27th in Saint Louis, Missouri. Taylor accumulated a total 24 credit hours toward her undergraduate degree as a dual enrollment student at Lutheran High School North and Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri before she started her tenure at Hampton University.

Taylor is a proud graduate of Hampton University’s Scripps Howard’s School of Journalism & Communications, where she obtained her degree in Strategic Communications and Marketing minor in Hampton, Virginia. She graduated Cum Laude and as a Dean's List scholar.  

During her tenure, Taylor was iHeartRadio’s Smooth 88.1 Radio Station news reporter, Hampton University’s WHOV TV newscast news anchor, Hampton University’s Hampton Script Newspaper’s Multimedia Specialist, and President of the Hampton University Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America. She is a 2019 Spring initiate of the Gamma Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

In the summer of 2018, Taylor interned with NASCAR’s Public Relations & Communications department in Charlotte, North Carolina and Saint Louis, Missouri. She also interned with RadioOne Saint Louis’ Hot 104.1 & 95.5 radio station. In 2021, Taylor worked for 300 Entertainment's Digital Marketing & Promotions department.

 

She currently works for KTVI St. Louis' Fox 2 News as a broadcast engineer. Taylor is a co-host on iHeart Radio's 100.3 The Beat FM for The Fix With Niddy Gritty. Also, Taylor is a reporter & host for STL TV & the AH! TV Network.

Taylor’s career aspiration is to gain a career as a television news broadcaster.  Taylor’s passion for the media industry increased when she was introduced to Hampton University’s Scripps-Howard School of Journalism & Communications. She was allotted many opportunities that increased her skill set as a reporter & host. After her first year, as a news anchor at Hampton University’s WHOV TV newscast and iHeartRadio’s WHOV Smooth 88.1’s news reporter, Taylor realized that broadcasting was her passion.

 Taylor has made community service a priority in her life by staying involved in her community in Saint Louis, Missouri and the Hampton, Virginia community. She lives by Shirley Chisholm’s quote, “Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.”

Taylor has participated and volunteered in the following activities and events: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, March of Dimes March for babies, Top Ladies of Distinctions Inc. & Top Teens of America Inc. Annual Sickle Cell Walk, Saint Louis Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Getting Higher Educations to Teach Others Golfers Annual Fundraiser Picnic, Community Women Against Hardship Walk For Life Walk-A-Thon, Community Women Against Hardship Circle of Support Gala, National Council of Negro Women Inc. Legacy Awards Dinner, Harvest Fall Fest YWCA Community Partnership, NFL-United Way Hometown Huddle, Virginia’s Access Aid Bingo Center, Hampton University’s Annual Hallowfest, The City of Berkeley’s Annual Health fair & Book Bag Drive, The City of Berkeley’s Annual Christmas Toy Drive, and Virginia’s Transition Family Services for Domestic Violence Victims.

She is a member of the American Marketing Association and National Association of Black Journalists.

 

For the past ten years, Taylor has been signed to Now Talent Management Agency as a model and actress. Now Talent Management is an AFTRA franchised talent representing union and nonunion models, actors, and voice-over talent. Harris has appeared in commercials for Build-A-Bear Workshop, Public Service Announcement for Missouri Attorney General Chris Kosner, Six Flags, and Missouri’s Heart Gallery. 

 

 Taylor is a member of  Shalom City Of Peace & The King's House in Saint Louis, Missouri, which provides her with a strong spiritual background.
